  1. WOW! Nevagivup

Nevagivup has been on a roll, having some great fishing. On the back of a 80Kg Blue marlin which was caught on 8Kg line with angler AJ from outback QLD. AJ also landed some nice Yellowfin Tuna on 15Kg line too! Captain Charles Wheeler has been having sensational fishing for Black Marlin, Sailfish, some big Yellowfin Tuna along with some nice Wahoo. Fly fishing the last few days with Lance from Tasmania, they teased up Black Marlin, Sailfish and Wahoo. Today they tagged & released a 40Kg Sailfish by IGFA regs on 10Kg tippet. Congratulations Lance, a great fish! Thank you to Russ Housby who was the fly fishing guide, awesome job. Both boats out again tomorrow, bring it on!!
  2. Captain Charles Wheeler – Double Headers

Captain Charles Wheeler has been having a blast out on the water this week on board Nevagivup, going 2 Sailfish (double hook up) one day, then the next day 2 Black Marlin (double hook up) and then yesterday raising 3 Blue Marlin (double hook up again), busting one off on 50 pound tackle, jumped one off over 700 pound and then landing one around the 300 pound mark! Congratulations to Lindsay after an hour and 45 minute fight, tail wrapped fish and on 50 pound tackle! Charles is out again today with the 130′s out!  —
  3. NEVAGIVUP BREAKS OWN SAILFISH RECORD

Mark and Carol Goodger are no strangers to fishing Vanuatu. On their trip here in July, Carol was keen to catch her first Sailfish. With seas that were not too kind, Richard ventured to Hat Island and after a couple of hours, Carol was on her first Sailfish. The previous record for Women 24Kg was 30.4Kg which was back in 2005, Carol’s Sailfish tipped the scales at 38.4Kg and she won her  battle with this fish after a 15 minute fight. Congratulations Carol on your first Sailfish and we were very proud to be able to deliver!

HAPPY 50TH BIRTHDAY MIKE! With the help of his wife Cindy and friends Craig & Trudy, they all helped Mike to celebrate by each tagging and releasing their first Blue Marlin. On board Nevagivup with Captain Charles Wheeler and Deck Hand Dick Nausien, the team raised 9 Blue Marlin, hooked 7 and tagged 4. Fantastic effort guys and looking forward to the Vanuatu Marlin Classic.
