Here Michelle shows the boys how it is done on light tackle.
Here is everyone’s favourite boat, Reel Capture at cruising speed.
Here is a great shot of Horizon under power. She is a great seagoing boat.
Nevagivup is a 34ft Blackwatch powered by 2 x 330Hp Cummins diesel shaft drive engines. She specializes in all tackle records and has many to her name. Nevagivup is skippered by the legendary Charles Wheeler who has been game fishing out of Vanuatu for the past six years. She is well suited for Port Vila conditions and is always ready to chase the next record.
JB from Mooloolaba in Queensland, Australia caught this nice little Wahoo on board Horizon so close to Port Vila that you can see it in the background.
Have you ever seen a harder looking crew? This marvelous shot was taken from low down on the fishing deck while the anglers and crew watched a Marlin toy with Nevagivup’s array of lures.
A satisfied angler displays his 18 Kg Yellowfin Tuna. He is aboard Nevagivup and the fish took a soft head squid just off Devil’s Fad. For Your Information: F. A. D. stands for Fish Aggregation Device and is a general term used to describe any structure placed at sea for the sole purpose of attracting fish.
The sunset beautifully lights up this Penn International with the leader of a Peter Pakula lure wrapped around it.
Here is Nevagivup returning to her mooring after refueling.
A juvenile Marlin sets the scene as it comes in to check out the lures in Nevagivup’s wake. For me this picture emotes exciting memories of seeing similar events. That feeling of anticipation mixed with desperation and hope as you silently will the fish to take the lure! Stuff work, I am going fishing!
