Climate

The climate in Vanuatu is tropical with a rainy and hot season from January to March. The Winter season lasting from May to October is relatively dry with cooler temperatures (25° daytime, 18° night time).
Visas and documents
Vanuatu immigration laws require that you have a return ticket and passport that is valid for at least 4 months from the date of arrival in Vanuatu.
Currency
The Vanuatu currency is the Vatu. Australian dollars and most credit cards are accepted in Port Vila.
Languages
English, French and Bislama are the official languages of Vanuatu.
Electricity
240 V Alternating Current with Australian style plugs.
Driving
In Vanuatu we drive on the right-side of the road.
Health
There are no compulsory vaccinations and there is no malaria in Port Vila. There is some risk in remote parts of Efate and other islands. There are no dangerous animals, snakes or insects in Vanuatu. The Water in Port Vila is safe for drinking.
